The labium is a very personal body part for a woman. It encompasses the four folds of tissue of the female external genitalia. For some women, enlarged labia can be an uncomfortable condition, while others would just like to have a more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
Dr. Stevens, who focuses not just on natural results but the comfort of his patients as well, offers labiaplasty at his Beverly Hills facility, the Lasky Clinic. This procedure, also known as labia reduction or labia rejuvenation, can help decrease the size and improve the appearance of enlarged or asymmetrical labia minora.
Dr. Stevens recommends a labiaplasty procedure for women who are physically healthy and have the following feelings or cases:

The labia reduction surgery is performed in our state of the art, accredited Los Angles Lasky Clinic Surgical Center under sedation anesthesia. The procedure usually takes about one hour with little discomfort or pain to the patient.
Small incisions are made to remove any excess tissue or to even-out the edges of the labia minor. Sutures are placed where the incisions were made and these sutures should dissolve within a few weeks.
After surgery, patients experience minimal bruising and are able to return back to work within three to four days. Patients may also shower the next day after the procedure and will not have stitches to remove. They can also resume intercourse within three to four weeks. In most cases, the labia reduction is virtually undetectable after complete healing.
