The Day of Surgery
 On the day of your procedure, remember to wear lose fitting clothing and no pullover tops. You will be seen again by Dr Stevens that morning in your own private room. He will go over the surgical plan once more and mark you for the procedure when indicated. You will meet your anesthesiologist and the anesthetic process will be explained to you.
 After surgery you will be taken to our recovery room and then back to your private room before discharge. As a convenience to you, your postoperative prescriptions will be delivered to the Clinic from the pharmacy. Depending on your surgery, you may also have a pain pump inserted at the end the procedure. This device will automatically infuse local anesthetic to ease the pain in the first few days after surgery.
Most patients go home with a family member or friend but Dr Stevens may recommend or you may wish to go to a recovery retreat for a day or two after discharge.
